Lazlo Strange is a war orphan and junior librarian having spent his life a dreamer, but he wonders if he chose the wrong dream. Since a young boy, he’s been obsessed with the mythical lost city of Weep, a city whose real name was collectively erased from the world’s mind, a city full of mystery that was once wondrous in its advances. But Weep, or whatever is left of it, is halfway across the world and surrounded by a treacherous desert – it would take someone much bolder than Lazlo to get to it.

One day, a stunning opportunity presents itself in the form of a hero called the Godslayer who arrives to Lazlo’s city with a legendary band of Weep’s most powerful warriors, the Tizerkane. Lazlo is stunned to see his dreams come to life and to be walking in front of him, but even greater than that, the Godslayer wants Lazlo to join them on the journey back to Weep.

The Godslayer wants help solving a mysterious problem in Weep, one that requires the greatest of minds and which he refuses to reveal until their arrival. The secrets that Weep presents are too great to refuse, but what is this mysterious problem? And what exactly did the Godslayer defeat to earn such a name?

The answers await in Weep, but the mysteries only deepen when a blue-skinned goddess appears vividly in Lazlo’s dreams. If the gods are dead, why does she seem so real?
